The Entrepreneurship Center Director at Taylor University found your blog and brought it to my attention. I am the Director of Ball State's Entrepreneurship Center.

First of all, thanks for your interest! It was a great competition in a very exciting location. (Check out the 3 minute video at www.bsu.edu/entrepreneurship/nascent500.

Most competitions these days are trying to attract participants by offering incredible prize money. We, on the other hand, thought that an interesting venue and a fun format might be more inviting. As it turns out, I think we were right.

I hope you (or your readers) consider submitting a plan to the 2008 Nascent 500. Five hundred dollars to each team member on the 12 qualifying teams. "Poll position" based on a five hundred word abstract of your plan. Five hundred seconds to give your pitch in the back of a limo circling the track. Five hundred seconds for Q & A from the judges in "the pits." And a REALLY fast lap to the winning team.
